A Note from the Race Director
With another successful year behind us we want to say a very special thank you to each and every athlete who braved the hurricane force winds this weekend. As a side note, they did die almost completely about 30 minutes after our last finisher crossed the line!
We were luck to have some very special racers this year. One man finished the race, completing 126 marathons. Another gentleman finished the race, in doing so, he has now successfully completed 2 marathons in every state! We saw athletes from Germany and Norway. We also so many families return for a 3rd straight year, some of which brought their wives, husbands or daughters who decided to make our race their first marathon ever.
Thank you all very much for sharing your stories and triumphs with us. It was a special treat to meet with you all. We have learned from this year and are already looking for improvements we can implement for the 2014 event.

'Sandhollow' will run on Mar 23rd 2013. If you have not yet run this course then your in for a treat! Past participants will attest to the amazing beauty of this out and back marathon. This is a great race with a small town atmosphere. The scenery is fantastic and the volunteers are great Our sponsors make it happen. We have listened to the advice of our runners and continue to improve and grow this popular event.
Come see why many athletes choose to run in Southern Utah. Come March we are know for warming weather which gives all of our northern Utah runners a great excuse to make the trip to St. George. We hope to see you soon!

Elite Athletes and Costume Crazies!
For the first time ever Sandhollow Marathon will be offering a cash prize to the first 3 male and female finishers. The top three finisher pay out will be $500/$300/$100. We will also be offering a prizes to the “best costume.”
What does that mean for everyone else?
The Sandhollow Marathon is growing. This unique out and back course gives you the opportunity to see the elites wiz past as your busy enjoying the scenic route. You’ll also be able to see all the fun and wacky costumes, we are all excited to see what you come up with!
